A sheet of paper taped to a cinder-block wall under a fluorescent light. The printed heading reads ADD FRIENDS TO THE BOOK, above a ruled table with two lines filled in by hand and the rest empty. — they wanted my full name. i left my line blank.

It went around the hall. People circled the ones they wanted to meet.
Someone asked if they could be added. The book was already printed.
